Zaman Grotto sign in the daytime
Zaman Grotto is the Memphis-area chapter of the Grottoes of North America, Inc., more formally known as the Mystic Order of Vieled Prophets of the Enchanted Realm or MOVPER. MOVPER or The Grotto was formed in the 1890s as a safe place for Master Masons to share fun times with one another. It has been described as the poor Mason's Shrine, because it is easier & cheaper to join & participate in the Grotto than in the Shrine (& both served similar missions at first).
